In order to be successful, women and minorities feel that they need to be authentic and to bring their whole selves to their work. This is not always easy in white male dominated industries. Navigating the waters of male and female,
predominant culture dynamics at work requires not only understanding the gender and privilege rules, but also understanding whom She is as a woman, as a representative of a minority, and leader, as well Her ability to communicate powerfully.
Business as usual, based on conquering the world, is no longer a buyable option. This is a time of survival, renewal and reinvention. Women and men working together in meaningful partnerships is an essential strategy for sustainable business growth. Women bring abilities and qualities that are more aligned with the sustainable economic growth that is currently demanded by the market place and the world. Some of these qualities are empathy, vulnerability, and inclusiveness inside and outside of the organization. Collaboration, humility, generosity, patience and balance are all qualities associated with emotional intelligence.
